Senior Associate Dean Afsharipour, Professor Patel Present at University of Illinois Workshop
Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Afra Afsharipour and Professor Menesh Patel presented at the ninth annual Workshop for Corporate & Securities Litigation, held Sept. 23-24 in Chicago and hosted by the University of Illinois College of Law
Afsharipour presented “Gender and the Social Structure of Exclusion in U.S. Corporate Law” (forthcoming, University of Chicago Law Review), which she co-authored with BYU Law Professor Matthew Jennejohn. Patel presented “Fraud on the Cryptomarket” (forthcoming, Harvard Journal of Law and Technology).
Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor Afra Afsharipour’s areas of research include comparative corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law. Her scholarship has appeared in numerous law reviews, including the Columbia Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, and the UC Davis Law Review.
Professor Menesh Patel joined the UC Davis faculty in 2018. His primary research interests include antitrust, corporate law, securities regulation, and capital markets. Prior to UC Davis, he was a fellow at Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School and practiced law at Sidley Austin LLP.
