How Funds are Used

Your gift makes all the difference to prepare the best legal minds of the future. You are helping to build a richly complex legal community -- for our students, faculty, and alumni, and for the wider society. Your support is building our capacity to serve future generations of societal leaders and legal scholars. There are a many ways your financial contribution makes a difference!

Scholarships

Scholarships directly benefit students, lightening their debt burden (which is growing with fees today of over $50,000). Scholarships ensure broad access to a King Hall legal education, and preserve freedom of career choice for students, especially those interested in public service careers.

Students

Gifts to the King Hall Annual Fund and direct donations support over 40 student-run organizations, including five law journals. Such organizations provide opportunities for students to develop professional relationships, assume leadership roles, learn lawyering skills, and become involved in the Law School and the greater legal community.

Academics

Our accomplished and diverse faculty is dedicated to providing UC Davis Law students with a first-rate legal education. In the School's brief history, it has risen to national and international prominence primarily as a result of the scholarship produced by its dedicated professors. Endowed chairs and direct program contributions help attract and retain exceptional teachers, researchers, and scholars.

King Hall Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is a vital source of money that is used to enhance the overall student experience and legal education through support of individual and student organizations, academic programs and student services, facility and technology improvements, and alumni services, such as student mentoring and coaching programs.
