Shannon Kahn joined UC Davis School of Law this Fall as the Director of Externships. She has spent the past nine years working closely with law students to support them in their legal job search and to help them develop practical lawyering and professional development skills. Most recently, she served as Deputy Director of the Career Development Office at Berkeley Law, where she managed a team of attorney-counselors and oversaw communications with both law students and legal employers. From 2014-2019, she worked in the Career Services Office at King Hall. Prior to that, she was an associate in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2008 and clerked for the Honorable Robert W. Sweet, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Shannon received her B.A. from Princeton University in 2003.
