Reference Librarian Services
Reference librarian services are available from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Contact (530) 752-0210 or lawlibref@ucdavis.edu, or stop by the reference desk in the library lobby. For the Mabie Law Library's recess and holiday hours, consult our calendar.
Reference librarians can assist library patrons with locating print and online resources available through the Mabie Law Library. Librarians can also provide research tips, but are not able to give legal advice or to do legal research on demand.
Other reference librarian services include:
- Legal Research Training: Librarians teach an elective 2-unit Advanced Legal Research course and provide customized research training for student RAs, clinical students, externs, summer associates, and journal editors.
- Faculty Liaison Program: Every faculty member is assigned a research librarian to assist with their research, scholarship, and teaching.
- In-Class Course Support: On request, librarians can provide in-class lectures on course-specific legal and multidisciplinary research resources.
