Professor Tang Writes for L.A. Times About Jan. 6, Colorado Trump Cases

Professor Aaron Tang wrote a Feb. 13 opinion piece for the Los Angeles Times  headlined “Trump wants a pause on his Jan. 6 trial. The Supreme Court should barrel ahead.”

Tang wrote that the very principles that seem likely to lead the court to rule in former President Donald Trump’s favor on the Colorado ballot-disqualification case all but require the court to reject his claim of criminal immunity in the Jan. 6 case.

Aaron Tang is a constitutional law professor, frequent Supreme Court commentator, and the author of Supreme Hubris: How Overconfidence is Destroying the Court – And How We Can Fix It (Yale University Press, 2023). He is a former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
