Professor Tang Moderates PBS Special 'Deadlock'
Professor Aaron Tang moderated “Deadlock: An Election Story,” an hourlong panel discussion that aired Sept. 20 on PBS.
Introduced by Supreme Court Associate Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Sonia Sotomayor, the show gathered prominent current and former public officials from different ideological backgrounds, along with leading journalists, to explore fictional Election Day scenarios. The program aimed to encourage civil discussion in increasingly polarized times.
Tang served as a clerk for Sotomayor before joining the UC Davis Law faculty.
Variety interviewed Tang about “Deadlock,” which the publication called “tense” and “twisty.”
Aaron Tang is a constitutional law professor, frequent Supreme Court commentator, and the author of Supreme Hubris: How Overconfidence is Destroying the Court – And How We Can Fix It (Yale University Press, 2023).
