Professor Lin Talks to Bloomberg Law About Opioid Manufacturers' Trial

Professor Albert C. Lin was interviewed for a Bloomberg Law story regarding a trial that began April 19 in Santa Ana involving several opioid manufacturers. 

Comparing the defendants’ prospects in this litigation against a 2019 Oklahoma trial that resulted in a $465 million judgment, Lin remarked that “The companies’ prospects for a win here are worse than they were in Oklahoma” because California’s public-nuisance law is even broader. Read the story.

Albert Lin is a professor at the UC Davis School of Law with special interests in environmental law, natural resources law, and evidence.
