N.Y. Times Mentions Professor Horton's Article

An April 29 New York Times story referenced an article co-written by Professor David Horton.

The Times piece by Sara Murphy concerned Murphy's wish to leave assets to friends in her will, and what that might entail. It referenced the 2022 University of Illinois Law Review article “Probate Litigation” by Horton and Rutgers Law School Professor Reid Weisbord, the latter of whom Murphy interviewed for the story.

David Horton’s primary research and teaching interests are wills and trusts, contracts, and arbitration law. In 2015, his article "In Partial Defense of Probate: Evidence from Alameda County, California" was selected as the winner of the 29th annual Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Scholarly Paper Competition and he was honored with UC Davis School of Law’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
