Dallas Bar Association Highlights Professor Johnson's Book

The Dallas Bar Association’s Equality Committee Book Club highlighted Professor Kevin R. Johnson’s acclaimed 1999 book How Did You Get to Be Mexican?: A White/Brown Man’s Search for Identity in a Sept. 27 webinar.

Johnson spoke on the panel along with Texas A&M School of Law Professor Rachel F. Moran and Duane Morris LLP Special Counsel Liliana Menzie. Ashley Aten, a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig LLP, moderated the event.

Kevin R. Johnson is a distinguished professor of law, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law, and Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law. Johnson also has an appointment as professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He served as dean of UC Davis Law from 2008 to 2024. Johnson is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
