In ABA Webinar, Professor Joslin Discusses Michigan Family Protection Act

Professor Courtney Joslin was a panelist for an April 17 American Bar Association Family Law Section webinar on the recently enacted Michigan Family Protection Act (MFPA).

Joslin helped draft the MFPA, which updates Michigan’s parentage laws to ensure that they apply to and protect all children born through assisted reproduction and surrogacy. 

Professor Joslin is a leading scholar in the field of family and relationship recognition, with a particular focus on same-sex and non-marital couples. She is a two-time Dukeminier Award recipient and the 2023 recipient of UC Davis Law’s Distinguished Teaching Award.
