Databases, Books & Other Materials
Visit the Library's Databases page for Mabie Law Library and U.C. Davis Library databases.
The Mabie Law Library's catalog is UC Library Search. A search result in UC Library Search will provide you with call numbers that are used to locate books and other publications in the Library. Procedures for borrowing, returning, renewing and interlibrary lending of books and other materials are found at the Circulation Services web page.
Exams Database & Study Aids
The Library maintains an exams database that is restricted to current UC Davis law students.
The Library maintains a large collection of online study aids to help you prepare for classes, including course outlines, Nutshells, Hornbooks, audio lectures, and exam preparation materials. A select print collection is shelved in the Reserve Area.
Course Reserves
Course Reserves are materials that are required and recommended by law professors for a specific course . Course Reserves materials are available at faculty request and not all faculty place materials on Course Reserves. To see what has been placed on Course Reserves for your course or when specific items are due, consult the library's catalog by entering the course name or the professor's last name. Course Reserves materials are arranged in alphabetical order by professor's last name then by course name in the first row in the Reserves Room.

Valuable found items are held at the Circulation Desk for a reasonable time. Unclaimed items are then turned over to the U.C. Davis Campus Police Department. For campus lost and found information, see U.C. Davis Police Department Lost and Found.

Study Space: Carrels & Main Reading Room
First year and LLM students are assigned carrels by the Library, two students per carrel. The carrel assignment usually takes place within the first two weeks of the Fall Semester. Second and third years will have a chance to sign up for a carrel (two students per carrel) through self-assignment on the Intranet. Detailed instructions are emailed during that time. Unoccupied carrels may be used by anyone until the assignee returns.
Students may also study in the Main Reading Room. Desks in the Main Reading Room are unassigned.
