Generative AI in Legal Practice: What’s here, what’s coming, and how to effectively evaluate and use tools in the workplace

Lexis and Westlaw are rolling out new generative AI tools and many others are being introduced in legal practice. Led by librarians Kristin Brandt and Refugio Acker-Ramirez, this session will provide an overview of generative AI and help you understand what tools are out there and how to evaluate them. Students will learn about how law firms are using generative AI tools and understand considerations for approaching their use, such as confidentiality, security, reliability, and sources of data.

Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win one of three $25 gift cards. This program will be recorded.
