Would you like to improve your legal research skills? Bloomberg Law, Lexis and Westlaw each offer legal research certification programs. After completion, students may list certifications on their resumes. See below for a summary of topics available and note that login credentials are required to access the courses. Bloomberg Law Certification

Bloomberg Law offers a number of certification courses, including:

Lexis

Legal Research Certification for Law Students

Lexis has two legal research certifications, Proficiency Certification and Practice-Ready Certification. Upon completion, your name will be added to the LexisNexis Certification Registry. Modules include:

  • Thorough Statutory Research
  • Utilizing Legal Analytics
  • Drafting & Analyzing Documents

Westlaw

Thomson Reuters Research Certifications

Westlaw’s certification program offers the following topics among others:
